The Magic Room - a Novel by Jeffrey Zaslow - Win a signed copy!

We have a special treat for all of our friends and fans! We were contacted by Jeffrey Zaslow, author of a new book titled "The Magic Room". He traveled to Fowler, MI and our retail partner, Becker's Bridal set the stage for this book. Within the pages of this book you will read about love, life and what goes on behind the scenes - how each and every bride who walks into a bridal salon has a story. More importantly, you will read stories just like yours...about women who are taking the same steps you are...what a journey it is on the road down the aisle!

As a special gift, we are giving away a signed copy of the The Magic Room! Just leave a comment about your visit to the magic room - because every store has one. The room where you look into the mirror the first time and you feel it...you see it...you have finally gotten to that moment...you are a bride!

I ordered my Bonny dress from Becker's :-) While I actually found it elsewhere, I did get to see myself in the "Magic Room" with my actual dress (#1004) on. This is when it really hit me that I was a bride, as I got to pick out my veil and see the whole package together.

I got my dress at a quick off the rack sale so I really didn't get to enjoy it when I first got it and my mom hadn't seen me in it because only my sister was able to go with me that day. So while my grandma was down from North Dakota, we decided to go to a fitting consultation even though I am about 1.5 years out til the big day. When both my mom and grandma were speechless I turely felt like a BEAUTIFUL bonny bride! It was an amazing feeling and was so excited to be able to share that moment with my mom, my grandma, and my sister.

The first time I saw myself as a bride was at the bridal show... I wore the sticker and all the vendors rush up to you and congratulate you...lol It made it very real.

The first time I saw myself as a bride was at my very first bridal show. It all became so real to me. I have a year and 4 months and I'm already stressing, but can't wait =]

When my fiance proposed to me, It felt surreal. But as soon as mom and myself went dress shopping, and found the one after only trying on 3 different dresses... At that moment it hit me that it was finally my turn, after i've watched my best friends get married.

1st time I realized it was when I was showing my bridesmaid the garden where we are getting married, which was after I bought my dress, is when it really hit me that this August I will be here walking in as a single woman but leaving as a married woman.
